Nous sortons de la salle pour prendre l’air. (We're going out of the room to get some fresh air.)
".. pour prendre de l'air", et-il correct aussi ?

Bonjour Joakim !
Here "prendre l'air" is a fixed expression to mean "to get some (fresh) air" so you cannot say "prendre DE l'air".
Think of it more as a general statement, to take air in general, hence the use of definite article l'.
