No, it doesn't - but you are lucky! I have had similar with typo in part of the answer unrelated to the concept being tested. It is frustrating and an area that could be improved. There have been suggestions previously - such as the possibility of a 'button' to click to indicate an insignificant error, which could for instance lead to a single retest, or ignore the typo etc altogether.
