J'ai attendu qu'il soit monté dans le train pour partir.

This sentence is translated as "I waited after he got on the train to leave" in the lesson above. But I'm wondering if it would be more accurate to translate this as "I waited until he got on the train to leave?"

Agree with you - although it may also be «until after he got on the train to leave». The current English translation is ambiguous - uncertain as to when waiting ended, and that is not the sense I get from the French. Maybe, we are both wrong?
