Hi Frank,

plusieures -- severl
nombreuses -- many

So you are correct.

A maybe descriptive way to express this would be: le champ est couvert de fleures. -- the field is covered by flowers. ;)

HI, Chris!  That's what I believe but my question was in response to an answer. I chose Plusieurs but the correct answer was Il m'a donné de nombreuses fleurs. I don't see that as a better choice than plusieurs. According to the explanation, nombreux is  more than plusieurs which to me is exessive for someone getting flowers.

Tu ________ cet oiseau au loin. I wrote apercois (without the accent) and it was marked as incorrect! Really, I think this should be marked "Nearly Correct"

it seems someone would give "plusieurs" fleurs but there would be "de nombreuses" fleurs in a field.
