Bonjour Ruby,

Thank you for your question! I feel this is a question that you should address directly to your French teacher as they will be in the best position to help you. If you have done a few mock exams so far, they will be better equipped to know which areas (being fluency when speaking or grammar knowledge etc) you could improve to reach a grade 9.

Practising a little each day will help train your 'ear' in getting better at recognising spoken French, at revognising how to pronounce expressions and in learning some new vocabulary too. I started learning English with music and reading the lyrics. It was eye opening too in terms of learning more colloquial expressions.
