Hits v tubes

JM, depends what you mean by ‘ meilleure ‘ here.

‘ les hits ‘ is way more current, especially amongst the younger groups who generally determine what is a ‘ hit ‘. 

‘ les tubes ‘ has also been considered familiar for ‘ (chanson) à succès’, even if it is now being recommended futilely instead of the anglicisme. 

I have heard ‘ hit ‘ but not ‘ tube ‘ used over the last few years on TV and radio in France.
