Garder ou tenir

Can I write "Je les tiens précieusement" instead?

Hi Nguyen Tan,

Possibly, according to context.

Garder  --> Take care of (look after)

Tenir  --> Hold on to (grasp)

The context suggests to me that "garder" is most appropriate in the sense of - "look after"

rather than simply "hold on to"

Hope this helps.

Jim
