Es and ez
Why is there a difference : tu habites and habitez- vous. Es in ending of habitate in tu and ez in vous?
This question relates to:French lesson "J'habite à + [ville] = I live in + [city] in French"
Asked 6 years ago
It is because in English (and most indo-european languages) the verb changes according to the subjects person. Tu is second person singular and vous is second person plural. Verb endings differ. You ask why this is so? Simply because.
