The Kwiz linked to this lesson had the question: "Ce jour-là, Marie découvrit la vérité"
It seems a bit illogical to class découvrir as a regular -ir verb, because it isn’t one in the present (even if it behaves as such in the passé simple).

Hi Anne, why do you say that découvrir does not behave as a regular -ir verb in the present tense?

tu découvres
il/elle/on découvre
nous découvrons
vous découvrez
ils/elles découvrent

Hi Chris, I just meant it isn’t a typical Group 2 -ir verb like finir or choisir. Kwiziq describes it elsewhere on the site as irregular in the present because it’s conjugated like an -er verb.
