There are lots of lessons because there are lots of verbs and lots of different conjugations required. If you go to the tab library/verbs and tenses starting under level A0, you can systematically start to work through verb conjugation. Unfortunately several of the most important verbs in French have 'irregular' conjugations that just need to be memorised. However there are large groups of 'regular' verbs that conjugate according to specific rules, as well as a number of irregular verbs that can be considered in groups. No-one can really 'teach' you conjugation - it is a significant part of learning French, and just needs to be approached systematically and with repetition. It can be quite daunting at first and is one of those things that needs to be broken down to manageable chunks. I strongly recommend, at least initially, following the sequence of lessons through the A0/A1 etc levels. It will start to make sense and come together after a while. There are many sites with conjugation lists - but memorising without having context is near impossible, so get context as you go.

Short and simple answer: Pick verb endings, -er, -ir, -re and write out each conjugation for Je, Tu, Vous, Il, Ils, and Nous.... this is what is called work.
