C'est difficile ... Il est dur

Could you please explain why C'est and Il est seem interchangeable when in the lesson 'C'est vs il/elle est: saying it is/she is he is' these expressions have separate uses depending on context. Thank you.

Bonjour Stewart,

This is a rather tricky topic! There are lots of intricacies as to the use of 'c'est - il est' as you can see from that particular lesson. 

However, when trying to express 'it is + [adjective] to do [sth]', one can use 'c'est / il est + [adjective] de + [infinitive verb]'
