My question is about putting "Marie caressait son chat" into the La Voix Passive. I have read Skylar's comment and the answers to her question. I agree with Ron, that "Le chat de Marie..." resolves the ambiguity of whose cat it is. So, I wrote: "Le chat de Marie etait caressait par elle" which was marked wrong. Could someone explain why this is wrong?
Je vous remercie beaucoup !
Instead of 'elle n'a pas remarqué quand le train s'est arrêté', would a French person ever say 'elle ne l'a pas remarqué quand le train s'est arrêté'?
Way back in the dim, distant past when I first started learning French, I think I remember being told that to accept an offer, you say "s'il vous plaît" and to decline, you use 'merci".
Eg.: Voulez-vous un verre de vin? Oui, s'il vous plaît./ Non, merci.
I think we also learnt that if you simply replied "merci", it would be understood as declining the offer.
Is this correct?
I wanted to ask if you could have the option of listening to this in a beginner speed as it is now, then pick a higher speed after you have gone through the lesson.
Thank you for this great site. I don’t use it as often as I should. Too many courses on the go, but I’m planning to make better use of this site this year.

Bonjour Kwiziq!!! Je m'appelle Trung et je viens de DongNai au VietNam.
In the expression, apéritifs dinatoires, is a circumflex needed over the first -i in dînatoires?
This lesson is in my notebook so I'm in an endless loop here. I would like to do the kwiz for just this lesson. Seems like a coding problem. Apologies if this is the wrong place to report it.
