My friendship with Aline spans several decades! Indeed, I've known her for thirty-five years. We met when we were 21. I remember, it was a few days before my 22nd birthday, it was early July and summer was just starting. The week before, her boyfriend at the time had invited me to the housewarming party that he and his brother were throwing. It was at that party that we got chatting while her boyfriend was puking his guts out in the garden! Through the years, we kept in touch more or less regularly. Sometimes, we didn't talk for several months on end, then one day, one of us would pick up the phone, and it was as if we'd seen each other the day before. She is and will always remain my dearest friend.
