Chéri Chérin is a famous Francophone painter. He was born in 1955, in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He started painting when he was working for an ad company. Later, he created his own paintings. Through his works and their colourful landscapes, Chérin depicts the diverse Congolese cultures with a unique sense of humour and irony. He also addresses social and political issues by using art as a tool for social change. Will you go to his exhibitions?
