This year, my company has decided to take advantage of New Year's Eve to spoil our clients with a special evening in Paris, which means that I'll have to work that evening! I don't think that this is what my wife had in mind for this occasion. She would probably have preferred for us to stay home. She'd have organised a dinner worthy of a three-star restaurant, that we'd have shared with our close friends. Instead, I'll spend the evening talking to my clients, while Géraldine gets bored (while) listening to Mrs Poitier's insipid chatter. I'll have to make up for it later.
