Cécile,Thank you for your input but unfortunately, I beg to differ.The form "oval" is simply not found in any of the French dictionaries I was able to check. There is one and only one form - "ovale". It is a noun and it has an -e in the end.Here's its definition on Le Robert, for example:https://dictionnaire.lerobert.com/definition/ovale

Larousse also only lists “ovale” (nom masculin), so I think that Yuxuan and others may be right!
