'Les fesses' is a mainstream noun, while 'bum' is slang (with these days a touch of euphemism about it). Wouldn't you think 'buttocks' would be a better match? Just listen to Tom Hanks saying the word in Forrest Gump for practice!

I have changed the  ‘les fesses’ translation to the buttocks.
