How the test works

Here's a preview of the text for the writing challenge, when you're ready click the start button above:

That morning, Audrey had decided to go for her daily walk, despite the big threatening clouds which darkened the sky. She'd taken the usual path through the woods, the one which ran along the stream up to her favourite little clearing. That's where she liked to spread her blanket on which she would lie daydreaming for hours. She had just closed her eyes when she heard a little squeal coming from the bushes. She approached with curiosity, and while carefully lifting one of the branches, she discovered a poor little squirrel, one of whose front paws seemed to be in a sorry state. With the help of biscuit [US: cookie] crumbs that she'd found in her pocket, she managed to gain its trust, little by little, and while talking to it with her softest voice, she cleaned its paw with water from the stream, then she used a piece of wood and the ribbon she had in her hair to make it a little makeshift splint.

I'll be right with you...
