Though most people associate the city of Fontainebleau with its palace, climbers know that it's also a world-famous spot for bouldering. A few years ago, I discovered that form of climbing which doesn't require any harness nor rope. All you need are good climbing shoes and a transportable crashpad. The boulder itself can be of varying heights, which make this activity suitable for children and professionals! With more than 27,000 routes spread over 250 sectors, Fontainebleau is perfect to enjoy a nice day in a natural setting. Bring a picnic, spend the day climbing with your friends, try out the different boulders, before heading home, exhausted but happy.

Clever stuff happening!
