Louise and I have just bought a house in the countryside that we intend to renovate together. Apart from the façade which is in good condition, the rest needs a good makeover! Once we've replastered the inside walls, we'll tackle the wooden flooring. We'll then wallpaper all the rooms except in the bathroom where there'll be wall tiles, given that room's dampness. When the weather's nicer, we will dig out the swimming pool in the garden. We'll also be able to refurbish the garage and we'll turn it into a pretty flat [US: apartment] that we'll rent out in the summer.
